In these times of gourmet ice cream, gourmet coffee and uh, ‘gourmet fast-food’, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to stay fit and lean. Aside from boosting our metabolic rate, building muscle also strengthens every joint of our body by reinforcing the connective tissue within and around them. Strong joints mean we’re less susceptible to injury, so we can keep on hitting the gym everyday and get six pack abs in lesser time.

Evidently, this has something to do with recent data from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention that say 66% of Americans are overweight. Building strength through regular exercise will result in weight-loss and cure our joint problems while giving us those six pack abs we’ve been yearning for.
