1. A healthy weight loss diet. Your diet is the fundamentation of all your weight loss success. The only way to burn off the pounds is by creating a daily caloric deficit of a few hundred calories. It is most effective if this calorie shortage comes from your diet and not countless of hours on the treadmill.
2. You need to get a regular exercise program. Exercising boosts your metabolism enormously and is so incredibly beneficial to your health. It lowers your risk for all sorts of diseases and it helps to lower your blood pressure. A good blood flow is what you need to help all the nutrients in your body get where they need to go.
3. Plenty of rest. When you are dieting and exercising at the same time and you keep this up for weeks on end, you are asking a lot from your body. Your body needs plenty of rest, or it will not be able to recover from all that effort. If you don’t get rest, you will not recover. And this means you will get no results.
This is basically all you need to do to get real results. Some people like to sneak in a few cookies or candy bars when they’re on a diet. That’s not a smart thing to do, because these are high calorie foods that will destroy your caloric deficit for that day. It will be a wasted day.
If only you could stick to all three guidelines for an extended period of time, you would be sure to see real results in very little time. The caloric deficit that comes from your diet will be the most important to your success. But don’t skip on the exercise, because it will help you achieve even better results!
There are two types of exercises. Cardio training and resistance training. Cardio training is jogging on a treadmill or any other type of cardio machine. This will increase your metabolism, which will make it easier for you to create a caloric deficit. Resistance training is weight lifting. This allows you to hang on to your muscle tissue, which is very important. When losing weight, always force your body to take it out of your fat reserves and not from you muscle mass! So stick to these guidelines and I will guarantee you that you will see results!
